Rhode Island State Representative Enrique Sanchez is publicly addressing his recent run-in with the law.
On February 3rd, Sanchez was pulled over as he was sitting parked at a green light in Cranston around 3 a.m.
In a statement posted to X, Sanchez said he "will not let (his) personal actions become a distraction from the issues that truly matter - the families, businesses, and concerns of (his) community." He added that he has no plans to step down and thanked the "many" constituents who have reached out "to reinforce their support for (his) leadership."
