Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha is standing with transgender members of the military in challenging an executive order from President Trump.
Neronha has joined a coalition of 20 state attorneys general in filing an amicus brief to support a lawsuit that aims to block the implementation of the President's executive order banning transgender people from serving in the military.
The brief supports a request for a preliminary injunction filed by a group of current and prospective transgender service members in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
The Court has scheduled a hearing for February 18.
