A Pawtucket man has been convicted in the 2020 murder of his girlfriend.
Forty-six-year-old Victor Colebut was found guilty on one count of domestic second-degree murder, one count of domestic assault and one count of domestic criminal violation of a no contact order.
Thirty-year-old Kristine Ohler was found unresponsive in Colebut's home and she was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say Colebut admitted that he and victim argued while he was intoxicated, and the investigation determined that Ohler had been strangled to death.
Colebut will be sentenced on April 28.
