Part Of McCoy Stadium Finds New Home In East Providence

Seats salvaged from the historic McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket will have a new home at East Providence High School.

Mayor Bob DaSilva made the announcement on social media as Highway Division crews poured a concrete slab behind home plate of the school's baseball field where the seats will be placed.

The idea to reuse the seats came from East Providence Council President Bob Rodericks, who thought it would be a good idea to have seating for spectators, while also bringing in a piece of baseball history.
