RI Senate President Returns To State House After Illness

Rhode Island Senate President Dominick Ruggerio returned to the State House Tuesday after close to a month's absence to recover from pneumonia.

The 76-year-old spent several days in the hospital and around three-weeks in a rehabilitation facility before going home on March 13th.

Ruggerio is currently the state Senate's longest serving member.

He revealed last year that he was diagnosed with cancer and has had other health issues.
