A serial bank robber has been sentenced to nine-years in federal prison for robbing four banks in Providence and Cranston over three days in 2021.
Vaughn Watrous pleaded guilty to the charges in April of 2024.
Watrous has a criminal record dating back to 1997, and his crimes came barely a year after he was released from a four-year stint in federal prison - for bank robbery.
After prison Watrous will serve one year of supervised release.
