A viewing and funeral service will be held today for state Senate President Dominick Ruggerio, who died last week at the age of 76 following a battle with cancer.
The wake will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home in North Providence.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Saint Anthony Church in North Providence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Edward Food and Wellness Center or the Rhode Island Society for Prevention for Cruelty to Animals.
