RI Airport Corporation Fires One Employee, Places Two On Leave

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation says one employee has been fired and two others are on administrative leave following serious misconduct allegations.

Officials say several employees in the Airfield Maintenance Department reported hostile conditions that included threatening and sexually explicit conduct, racial and ethnic slurs.

RIAC says its executive team is extremely concerned about the situation and commends the employees who stepped forward to help ensure a safe and respectful workplace.

The investigation is ongoing.
