The Rhode Island Department of Transportation has released a video ahead of the Washington Bridge rebuild.
The video that's posted online shows the preparation work that's being done before construction begins.
Officials say an essential part of building a bridge is the prep work that's often not visible.
RIDOT is currently coordinating the relocation of utilities to prepare the bridge site, including water, sewer and fiber optics among others.
The bridge was shut down two years ago over safety concerns and it was demolished so a new span could be built.
Officials estimate that new westbound side of the bridge should be open in November of 2028.
