Governor Dan McKee has signed a proclamation recognizing June as Pride Month in Rhode Island.
The governor says by proclaiming June as Pride Month, the state has the chance to honor the contributions and recognize the resilience of LGBTQ+ individuals throughout the Ocean State.
McKee says Rhode Island is a state built on love, respect, and inclusion; and as Governor he will continue to fight for equality for everyone.
The State House will be illuminated in Pride colors this month and the Pride progress flag will be flown.
