The Department of Health, Brown Dermatology and the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island are once again offering free skin cancer screenings at select state beaches.
The first screening will be held this Friday, July 10th from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Easton's Beach in Newport.
The second screening will take place on Saturday, July 18th at Roger Wheeler State Beach in Narragansett with screenings to follow at other beaches until August 22nd.
Health Director Dr. Jerry Larkin says cancer screenings have the power to save lives and all Rhode Islanders should take advantage of the free, convenient skin cancer checks.
