Todd Blount, President and CEO of Blount Fine Foods

Todd is an owner, and serves as President and CEO of Blount Fine Foods, a 5th generation company headquartered in Fall River, MA, with other facilities in Rhode Island and Texas. Blount Fine Foods has enjoyed exceptional growth of almost 15% per year for over 25 years. Todd has gathered and enabled a team of entrepreneurs to position the company for today’s competitive environment. Blount Fine Foods is a Food Manufacturer and Marketing company that has won awards in the areas of Quality, Marketing and Business Growth. The company produces gourmet refrigerated & frozen soup & sides for restaurants and retailers nation-wide.

Todd began working for Blount Fine Foods after graduating with a MBA from Boston University, in 1994. Todd’s prior experience includes working for Verizon for 3 years, including their two-year management trainee program. He graduated with a BS in Engineering Management from the University of Vermont in 1989.

He is highly involved in the communities where he lives and works. Todd contributes his time coaching and advising food startups – including teaching classes and giving talks at regional food incubators. In addition he leads an angel fund to invest in food-start-ups success. Todd serves on several for-profit and non-profit boards and has served as chairman on the boards of Camp Brookwoods and Moose River Outpost. He also co-created a Christian leadership program called Rhode Trip which takes boys on a variety of outdoor adventure trips. He is currently on the Greater Fall River Development Board, Bristol County, MA Workforce Investment Board, and past president of the Fall River Industrial Park Association and past board member of Hope and Main Board [food business incubator].

Todd won the Providence Business News Strategic Leadership award in 2015 and was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year regional winner in 2011, and Providence Business New’s 40 under 40 in 2007. In addition to many other awards, Blount Fine Foods was named the 2011 processor of the year by Refrigerated Foods Magazine and 2012 Large Company of the year by the Massachusetts Family Business Association.

Todd and his wife Mindy reside in Barrington, Rhode Island and have two sons and daughter. Todd is a regular guy who loves being with his family, loves to work and enjoys spending time with friends outdoors.
