Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to lead all the other Democratic presidential candidates in the polls, as he's done for months. But as primary season continues to gain speed and Biden is appearing out on the stump more, he's been making gaffes that have been raising concerns among some. Most recently, in Iowa over the past week, Biden gave the wrong locations for the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings and said that "poor kids" are just as smart and talented as "white kids." But Biden's camp is dismissing the chatter that he might have lost a step because of his age, saying it's just who he is. Campaign adviser Symone Sanders portrayed the issue on CNN Monday as something the press is concerned about, not the voters, and noted, "Vice President Biden every single time has immediately corrected himself." Reverend Joseph Darby, a longtime Biden supporter in South Carolina told the New York Times, "Joe's always been gaffe-prone. It's just a piece of who he is." And former Iowa Democratic Governor Tom Vilsack, a longtime Biden, friend, even suggested the gaffes could help him, saying, "Voters can identify with a guy who occasionally makes a mistake because they know where his heart is." In other words, he's a regular guy. I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in a President who is a "regular guy"....I want some who is anything but.
