It looks like The Duke of York's cringe worthy BBC interview about his relationship with Jeffery Epstein got him a royal tongue lashing. Britain's Prince Andrew announced that he's stepping back from public duties for what he said will be "the foreseeable future" amid the controversy over his association with Jeffrey Epstein, the late U.S. financier who killed himself in a jail cell in August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and sexual abuse of minors charges. Andrew said his Epstein association had become a, quote, "major disruption" to the royal family's charity work. Andrew's troubles go beyond just his association with Epstein, as a woman who has accused Epstein of trafficking her said she had sex with Andrew nearly two decades ago when she was 17. The prince has denied the accusation, but an interview he did over the weekend to try to address the controversy backfired.
