Lower-Attended Ceremony, Different Beach Experience Mark Memorial Day 2020

(Undated)--A Memorial Day perhaps unlike any other in recent memory was celebrated in Rhode Island yesterday.Governor Gina Raimondo and Lieutenant Governor Dan McKee laid wreaths at the World War Two Memorial at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.Only a few were at the ceremony in comparison to hundreds who would have attended in previous years; the event was streamed online.Beachgoers visited the two South County state beaches that were opened yesterday, with face-covering and social-distancing rules in effect.
