(Johnston, RI) -- Johnston Police are saying the driver of a SUV apparently hit the gas and not the brake and smashed into a storefront. The accident happened yesterday at the Stop and Shop Plaza on Atwood Avenue. The driver stuck and empty storefront, but knocked bottles off the shelves of the liquor store next door. The storefront had just been repaired after a car went through it a few months ago.
