Pawtucket To Look At Financing Options

(Bristol, RI)  --  The state Senate Finance Committee is asking Pawtucket leaders if they're willing to look at different ways to finance a new PawSox stadium.  The question last night arose out of a hearing the previous night when General Treasurer Seth Magaziner suggested bonds could be obtained at lower interest rates if the state handled the transaction.  Pawtucket commerce director Jeanne Boyle says yes.  Senator James A. Seveney suggested that Boyle and others talk with Magaziner.  The next hearing will be held next Thursday at Bryant University in Smithfield.
