Self-Driving Shuttle Starting Up

(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is kicking off its self-driving vehicle pilot project today.The Little Roady Shuttle - that's spelled r-o-a-d-y - is a free service that will operate seven days a week with stops between Olneyville Square and Providence Station in the capital city.RIDOT says it will help the department integrate the new technology into its transportation planning.State officials took a test ride on the shuttle yesterday.
