Brown University Gets Opioid Grants

(Providence, RI)--Brown University has been awarded a couple of grants to combat the opioid abuse crisis.The two five-year grants worth about seven-million dollars come from the National Institutes of Health.One grant will launch a partnership with the state to engage in neighborhood-based intervention strategies using a new predictive forecasting model, while the second will allow researchers to evaluate the effectiveness of test strips used to detect fentanyl, according to Brown.
