State Energy Commissioner Retiring

(Providence, RI)--Rhode Island Energy Commissioner Carol Grant is set to retire tomorrow.Grant took the position as the commissioner of the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources in 2016.The state's renewable energy portfolio has increased from one-hundred megawatts to over eight-hundred during Grant's time, including the not-yet-built Revolution Wind offshore facility.Governor Raimondo's administration, in making the announcement last week, said a replacement announcement is expected within a few weeks.
