Judge Throws Out Starbucks Suit

A five-million-dollar class-action lawsuit filed by a Rhode Island man against Starbucks has been dismissed.

Glenn Skalubinski, a former RI State Police trooper and currently the harbormaster in Jamestown, purchased a Starbucks drink at a Hannaford's grocery store in Uxbridge, Massachusetts.

According to the suit that was filed last year, the drink claimed it had real vanilla, but instead it only had vanilla flavoring.

A federal judge in Mass dismissed the suit last month because the court apparently did not get a timely response within the proceedings.
