(Providence, RI) -- The last remaining defendant in the failed 38 Studios lawsuit is agreeing to settle. First Southwest now known as Hilltop Securities Incorporated will pay Rhode Island sixteen million dollars. Curt Schilling's video game company left taxpayers stuck for ninety million dollars when it went belly up and filed bankruptcy in 2012. There have been four other settlements in the case making the grand total paid to the state before lawyer's fees around sixty-one million dollars.
