IS NOTHING SACRED?

I was hopeful the Super Bowl would provide some well needed escape from the "real world" but, alas, no such luck. During the tedious two weeks leading up to THE BIG GAME, many reporters covering things in Houston hounded Pats quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick about their support of Donald Trump. It's no secret Pats owner Bob Kraft and Trump have been pals for a long time but whether or not Brady's a big Trump supporter remains a mystery. A "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" Trump baseball cap was photographed in Brady's locker during the campaign and the assumption was he was a Trump backer. During the seemingly endless time between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl reporters ran out of questions about X's and O's and turned their attention to Brady's political leans. He dodged the inquiries better than a Steelers' blitz. You didn't hear Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan being asked his political leanings. Now, Brady finds himself in a no-win situation when the Pats are invited to the White House. If he attends, the mainstream media will say "see, I told you he was a Trump supporter. If he bags it, he'll be slammed as unpatriotic. It's all part of the HATE THE PATRIOTS campaign everywhere outside of New England.
