(Providence, RI) -- There's a public hearing scheduled before the House Committee on Labor on three bills regarding the state's minimum wage. One would increase the hourly minimum wage to ten-dollars-50-cents. The second would raise the minimum for tipped workers by 50-cents per year until it's not less than two-thirds of the regular minimum wage. The third bill would prohibit employers from taking a portion of tips from tipped employees except for credit card service charges.
