(Providence, RI) -- Secretary of Health and Human Services Elizabeth Roberts is stepping down over the botched debut of the state's public benefits system. Governor Raimondo in making the announcement says it was Roberts' decision to resign. Technical problems with the three hundred and sixty-four million dollar computer system caused numerous delays in distributing food stamp benefits.
