Because there isn't enough already in politics for people to get upset about and argue over, some people are now flipping out over a photo of White House senior counselor KellyAnn Conway that shows her kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office. Conway was in that position after taking a photo with her phone of President Trump with a group of leaders of black colleges and universities. Critics are saying that it's disrespectful of Conway to be kneeling on the couch in the Oval Office that way, particularly with her shoes on, while many others from both sides of the aisle are dismissing the outage as ridiculous. But some people also pointed out that this kind of thing is bipartisan, recalling the outrage from some on the right when then-President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office with his feet on his desk. Maybe its time to just lighten up when it comes to bad optics which are so easily caught now thanks to smartphones. I'm sure had such technology existed in the 60's we would have caught Lyndon Johnson in his boxer shorts of Mamie Eisenhower in curlers, Nixon downing a scotch or two and maybe even George Washington leaving his wooden teeth on the night stand. JFK? I'm not even going THERE!Lighten up, America!
