AIRLINE SATISFACTION'S ON THE RISE

While it may seem like people are constantly complaining about their experiences flying these days, it turns out, folks are actually more satisfied with airlines this year than in the past.

According to a new Ipsos Public Affairs survey, 85% of passengers who flew last year said they were “very” or “somewhat” satisfied with their overall flying experience, which is up from 79% in 2015. And folks who enrolled in programs to expedite the airpport experience, like TSA Pre Check or Global Entry were even more satisfied. The survey found that 92% of Global Entry users and 88% of Pre Check users were satisfied their travel experience.

And all of this satisfaction is leading to more travel. The survey finds that folks took an average of 4.5 trips last year, with 51% of those trips leisure vacations, 31% business trips and 18% were for personal reasons.

When it comes to booking a trip, affordability was the most important factor in choosing an airline, followed by the schedule and reliability. Folks also take into consideration things like seat comfort, customer service, in flight amenities and an airline’s loyalty program.
