CUT KELLY ANN SOME SLACK

The government's ethics watchdog is voicing concern about the decision not to discipline top aide Kellyanne Conway for plugging Ivanka Trump's clothing line during a television appearance. In a letter to the White House deputy counsel, the head of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) says not punishing Conway risks undermining the government's ethics policies.

The director is also worried about the White House's questions about whether ethics rules apply to them. This comes after White House deputy counsel Stefan Passantino released a letter last week declining to discipline Conway and saying she had no "nefarious motive or intent to benefit personally."

Essentially, the OGE has called it a "misuse of position," but the White House says it was inadvertent.

Look, it's not as though Conway was on QVC promoting HER own line of cosmetics or something. She stood nothing to gain from a tongue in cheek comment. With EVERYTHING else that's going on in this wide world of ours,is this REALLY something we should be worried about. Just let it go!
