After there was news last week that O.J Simpson could be freed from prison on parole later this year, after being convicted in 2008 on charges including armed robbery and kidnapping for a confrontation in a Las Vegas hotel room, celebrity gossip site TMZ is reporting that some reality TV producers are readying to, quote, "scramble" to sign him to a deal. TMZ said they contacted reality TV production companies, agents and platforms where a show could run, and while none of them wanted to be quoted by name, they said the most likely format for an O.J. project would be as a documentary or interview show. However, they said neither broadcast nor cable would ever air it, because advertisers wouldn't touch it and there'd be a public outcry, but it could find a home on an outlet like pay-per-view. TMZ notes that Simpson still owes $33 million in a civil judgment for the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, and any money he makes could be taken and put toward satisfying that judgment. Are we honestly THIS strapped for entertainment that we'd pony up money to see this thug lie again?
