(Bristol, RI) -- The Bell Tower Plaza property manager is saying repairs to the roof of the shopping center were in the works before it collapsed Tuesday. WPRI-TV reports that the plaza in Bristol had also failed a load test last year after an earlier collapse in 2015. Business owners in the plaza are worried about the integrity of the building, while at the same time they're losing business every day the center remains closed. The town is currently inspecting the roof at each unit before they will be allowed to reopen.
