(Providence, RI) -- Providence Police say a man suffering from an apparent opioid overdose slammed into a utility pole. The accident happened around 2 p.m. yesterday on Smith Street. Officers say a toddler in the backseat of the vehicle was not hurt. Police administered the driver Narcan and he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. It was the second such incident in as many days.
