Connecticut lawmakers are considering whether or not to let police in their state use drones that have deadly weapons mounted on them, a move that would be a first in the country. If approved, the measure would actually come as part of a bill banning the use of weaponized drones, but exempting police. Rules would be laid out for how police could use the drones, and officers would have to get training before being allowed to use them. Republican state Senator John Kissel said in support of the idea, "Obviously this is for very limited circumstances. We can certainly envision some incident on some campus or someplace where someone is a rogue shooter or someone was kidnapped and you try to blow out a tire." However, civil liberties and civil rights groups objected. The president of the Connecticut NAACP chapter, Is it just me, or do you see this going horribly bad?
