Thanks to smartphones, distracted driving has become a huge problem in this country. In fact, according to a recent survey, 67% of Americans feel “at risk” because of drivers who use technology behind the wheel. What’s more, 25% of Americans admit they put themselves or others at risk by their use of tech on the roads.

And it seems there are certain areas of the country where cellphone use behind the wheel is particularly bad. A study conducted by Life360, the world's leading family location app and driving safety service, finds that cellphone use is most prevalent in the Southeastern region of the United States, with Mississippi the state where drivers do it the most

Broken down by city, folks in New Orleans are the guiltiest of mobile phone use behind the wheel, using their phones an average of 2.78 times per drive. Atlanta is also particularly bad (2.73 times per drive) as is Miami (2.54 times per drive).
