(Providence, RI) -- Motorists who travel Interstate-195 in Providence can expect delays over the next several months. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation says crews will be working to replace bridge joints along the busy highway. The work will begin in both directions near Exit 2, and lane and off-ramp closures are possible during the overnight hours. The next phase will involve work on the Clifford Street Bridge which will be closed on weekends for about a month.
