(Tiverton, RI) -- A woman is in serious condition at Rhode Island Hospital after a head on crash with a fire truck. The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday on Bulgarmarsh Road in Tiverton. Authorities say the fire truck was on its way back to the station when an oncoming car driven by 46-year-old Lucia Borges of Westport, Massachusetts crossed the center line and struck the truck. Two firefighters were taken to the hospital for treatment and released. Police say they found several empty alcohol containers in Borges' car.
