PERMANENT STAINS ON OUR JACKET

It was announced this week the widely listened to podcast series CRIMETOWN is taking the show on the road bringing a live stage show to Providence's Columbus Theatre in July. The 18 podcast episodes zeroed in on Providence from the reign of mob boss Raymond Patriarcha through the rise and fall of Mayor Buddy Cianci. The series was so popular it finished up with a sold out stage show in Brooklyn. Now, the live show is coming to Providence and Boston. NBC 10 says the family of Buddy Cianci's not pleased about a tee shirt comparing Buddy the C to Patriarcha. Podcast producer GIMLET MEDIA is selling the tee online for $24.99. The shirt has a split image of Cianci and Patriarcha's faces. Meantime, more stains on the state's jacket as former Rep Peter Palumbo's been indicted for allegedly using campaign money for personal expenses, former Providence City Council President Luis Aponte faces embezzlement charges and former rep Ray Gallison will be sentenced next month for misuse of funds and stealing from the estate of a dead guy. At this rate, CRIMETOWN stage show could outrun CATS.
