(Providence, RI) -- Providence Police are searching for a suspect involved in a chase that began with shots fired. Authorities say a patrol officer heard gunshots in the area of Potters Ave and Cahill Street around 12:15 p.m. yesterday and attempted to stop the suspect's car, but it sped away. The suspect ran from his car after it crashed at Broadway and Marshall Streets. Investigators hope that evidence inside the suspect's car will lead them to him.
