(Providence, RI) -- The mayors of Providence and Central Falls are lining up in support of a plan to cut the state's car tax. The first hearing on House Speaker Nick Mattiello's plan was held last night. Providence Mayor Elorza says the plan "would provide significant relief to those families across the entire income spectrum." The biggest concern centers around how the cut would be paid for as the state would have to come up with a way to reimburse cities and towns 220-million dollars annually for lost revenue.
