WILL TRUMP TWEET DURING COMEY TESTIMONY?

The White House is again defending President Trump's Twitter habits. Presidential spokesman Sean Spicer says Trump is the "most effective messenger on his agenda." During his daily briefing, Spicer noted similar criticism during the presidential campaign and noted that the election “turned out pretty well.”

Spicer was asked if the President's tweets are “official statements.” Spicer responded that Trump is the President, so the tweets are considered to be official statements. To that end, if you’re interested in what Trump’s thoughts are about Comey’s testimony, pay attention to his Twitter feed tomorrow.

According “Washington Post” reporter Robert Costa, the President plans to be live tweeting during the hearing. “I was just talking to some White House officials this morning and their view is that the president himself wants to be the messenger, his own warrior, his own lawyer, his own spokesman,” Costa tells MSNBC. “The president is expected to be tweeting in response to Comey, not to stay quiet during the testimony. Because he himself wants to be the one driving the process.”
