(Smithfield, RI) -- A 19-year old swimmer is dead after a drowning in Smithfield. Authorities were notified of a missing swimmer at Georgiaville Pond around 8 p.m. last night and found his body around 90 minutes later. Authorities say the man was trying to swim back to the mainland from an island with some friends when he became tired and went under. The identity of the man hasn't been released pending notification of family.
