(Providence, RI) -- A Providence firefighter is out of a job after being accused of saying a racist comment to an African-American woman. On March 15th, Andre Ferro responded to a medical call at an apartment on Dodge Street. He allegedly told a woman that her mother "should stop eating fried chicken." The Providence Fire Department Trial Board decided to fire him last night. He previously faced disciplinary action for violating the department's sexual harassment policy.
