Senate Approves Sick Leave Bill

(Providence, RI)  --  A bill that would require most businesses in the state to provide paid sick leave for their employees is advancing.  Yesterday, the Rhode Island Senate approved a bill that would require employers to provide four sick days in 2018 and five sick days annually in following years.  It would exempt small employers with ten or fewer workers from having to provide paid sick leave.  A version of the bill is still pending in the House.
