(Providence, RI) -- Voters on Providence's east side go to the polls today to select a Democratic candidate for Ward Three Councilman. The primary is being held due to Councilman Kevin Jackson being ousted in a recall election. The candidates are Brown University employee Nirva LaFortune, Providence School Board member Mark Santow and attorney Daniel Chaika. The winner will take on Republican Dave Lallier Junior and independent Chris Reynolds in November.
