(Providence, RI) -- The Providence City Council Special Committee on Education is seeking an independent investigation into molestation charges at Harry Kizirian Elementary School. The school failed to report accusations that gym teacher James Duffy inappropriately touched four girls. The incident was reported seven weeks after the May incident by a third party, sparking a police investigation. Duffy is free on bail.
