(North Providence, RI) -- North Providence Acting Police Chief Christopher Pelagio is being suspended with pay. Mayor Charles Lombardi says Pelagio is suspended "until further notice." More than 30 grievances have been filed against Pelagio by the department's police union, which took two votes of "no confidence" in his leadership style. Acting Deputy Chief Charles Davey is filling Pelagio's position.
