Voters Approve $3 Million Bond For New Communications System In Seekonk

(Seekonk, MA)  --  Seekonk's aging radio communications system is getting replaced.  Voters approved a three million dollar bond yesterday to install a new public safety radio system.  The new system will eliminate a number of "dead spots" in the current system where emergency personnel and police can't hear the dispatcher.  Taxpayers will see an average increase of $45 the first year and decreasing amounts in following years.
