(Narragansett, RI) -- Two teenagers are recovering after being rescued from rough water at Narragansett Town Beach. The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. yesterday, two hours after the town closed the beach. Authorities say the strong waves pulled a body board away from one of the teens and the two clung to the remaining board as they yelled for help. They were pulled aboard a Coast Guard boat and taken to the Coast Guard station at Castle Hill in Newport to be checked out and turned over to their parents after being treated for hypothermia. A third teen was able to swim to shore.
