(Providence, RI) -- Rhode Island public schools will need more than two billion dollars in repairs. A study released yesterday by Governor Raimondo shows that six hundred and twenty-seven million dollars is needed to keep the schools' HVAC systems operating and the buildings maintainable. The governor is creating a task force to get feedback from school districts and the public. A draft report needs to be on the governor's desk by December 15th so legislation can be presented in time for next year's budget.
