High Surf Advisory Through Today

(Undated)  --  The effects of Maria, which strengthened back to hurricane status yesterday are still being felt along coastal Rhode Island.  A high surf advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. today.  The National Weather Service says waves of up to ten feet are likely along south facing, ocean exposed beaches.  The high surf also increases the risk from dangerous rip currents.
