Providence Police Start Training Of Body Cameras

(Providence, RI)  --  Providence Police officers are beginning training with new body cameras.  Any time there's reasonable suspicion that a person has been involved in criminal activity will require the camera be activated.  The ACLU has expressed concern about the manual activation, which they said could possibly result in a use-of-force incident not being recorded.  All of the department's cameras should be operational by the end of the year.
